Lions Clubs International is the largest humanitarian and community service organisation in the world with 1.4+ million members in 46,000+ clubs in 210 countries.

Formed in Chicago in 1917 by Melvin Jones as a businessmen’s organisation aiming to put something back into the community it has grown to be a service organisation of women and men from all walks of life with the common aim of serving their communities. In the British Isles and Ireland there are around 17,000 members in just under 900 clubs which means that wherever you live there will be a Lions Club near you.
