Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917 so in 2017 we will be celebrating our first 100 years of serving our communities.
In those years Lions have spread from Chicago to an organisation with 46,000+ clubs in 210 countries and with a growing membership of over 1.4 million we can truly say that “Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion”.
Lions are celebrating their centenary, not just by looking back at the successes of the past, but also by making sure that Lions Clubs are just as relevant today as they were in 1917. Lions around the world have been challenged to serve 100 million people in the run up to the centenary, divided into four main threads,
